SSGA Appoints Head Of Asia Ex-Japan Business

State Street Global Advisors, the asset management arm of US-listed , has appointed June Wong as senior managing director and head of its Asia ex-Japan business. 

Based in Hong Kong, Wong joins the firm in March 2016 and will be responsible for further developing and implementing the regional business strategy and growth plans covering important and new investor segments across the North Asia and South East Asia regions, SSGA said.

Wong will report to Lochiel Crafter, head of State Street Global Advisors’ APAC business.

Previously at Columbia Threadneedle, Wong served as vice chairman for Asia-Pacific and chief executive of the Hong Kong business. Prior to this, she served as head of institutions at AllianceBernstein and head of business development for HSBC Asset Management.
